Dear Banfields Relatives and Residents, An official welcome to 2021! The new year started with new restrictions for Victorians and then their subsequent easing, only to be followed by a statewide Stage 4 lockdown for five days; therefore, 2021 has commenced rather chaotically from the onset!
The end of 2020 saw a few changes within the Management Team at Banfields. Clinical Care Manager, Catherine Gementiza (Registered Nurse) was offered an amazing opportunity in the Acute Care Sector and resigned from her role and relocated from the island. Banfields wishes Catherine a bright and prosperous future.
I am pleased to announce I have appointed two senior registered nurses, Elizabeth May (Monday to Wednesday) and Annabelle Catalan (Thursday and Friday) as acting Clinical Care Managers. Both have worked at Banfields for many years and display excellent qualities as senior registered nurses, such as integrity, professionalism, honesty and respect.
COVID-19 continues to loom in the spotlight and Banfields will continue to follow Government guidance and update families via our NoticeBoard App. It is essential that all families receive up to date notifications from Banfields. Please ensure you have downloaded our NoticeBoard App. Please contact reception, should you require support.
Many thanks and praise to the greater Banfields Community who continue to be supportive to staff and residents. Your special treats for all to share, delivered to our door have been warmly welcomed. Special “shout out” to Coles Supermarket in Cowes for the many deliveries of fresh flowers that you donated during January for staff and residents to enjoy. The gesutre was very much appreciated and brightened up many lives.
Best wishes,
Lara
