Staff Updates
As advised in our email sent 13 April 2023, we confirm Edward Matthies has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Australian Aged Care Group Pty Ltd, but is continuing to assist in the development of our soon to be opening Mt Eliza Gardens Aged Care Facility. Angelika Koplin, our former long serving Chief Executive Officer has returned to provide support ensuring continuity and oversight to this critical role while we actively recruit a suitable replacement. Angelika has over 30 years’ experience in aged care, the majority as a Chief Executive Officer.
Greg Gunn will continue in his valuable role as Operations Manager.
Gene Cayetano, Director of Care, will be going on maternity leave starting next week. We wish Gene all the very best during this exciting time of her life.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Director of Care, April Jim, who has recently started with us. April is highly regarded in the aged care industry and her expertise and experience will be of great benefit to the continuation of outstanding care at our beautiful facility.
Marie Girdham, our Group Admissions Manager has also taken over from Cathy Smyth in an acting role, as Banfields Admissions Manager. Marie will oversee the appointment of a new, locally-based Admissions Manager in the very new future.
In their individual roles, our cohesive Banfields’ team continues to commit to learning, understanding and supporting the needs of our residents and their families. By investing in our wonderful staff, we can continue to meet with confidence all the challenges the aged care industry continues to face.
